Journal of Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (JSMT)
1. Scope of the Journal
JSMT publishes original research, short communications, and review articles in the fields of:

Shipbuilding and Naval Architecture

Ship Hydrodynamics and Marine Structures

Coastal and Port Engineering

Marine Transportation Systems

Ocean Renewable Energy
Manuscripts must clearly align with the journal’s aims and scope.
2. Types of Manuscripts
JSMT accepts the following categories:

3. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the official online submission system.

Authors must register before submission.

The following supplementary documents must be uploaded:

Cover Letter

Statement of Originality

Manuscripts submitted elsewhere simultaneously will not be considered.
4. Language and Format
-
Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian (English is strongly recommended).

Length: 8–16 pages, including references.

Authors must use the official JSMT Template.
5. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

Written in English and Indonesian

6. Figures, Tables, and Equations
-
Tables must have titles placed above the table.
-
Figures must have captions placed below the figure.

Equations must be numbered sequentially (e.g., (1), (2), etc.) and aligned to the right.
7. Citation and References

Use APA 7th Edition citation style.
-
All cited references must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
-
Primary sources (journals, proceedings, books) are strongly encouraged.
-
Reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero is recommended.
8. Ethical Requirements
Authors must:

Submit original and unpublished work.
-
Ensure similarity index does not exceed 20%.
-
Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.

Disclose any conflicts of interest.
All manuscripts are screened prior to peer review.
9. Peer Review Process

Single-blind peer review

Minimum of two independent reviewers

Editorial decisions: Accept, Revise, or Reject

Authors are normally informed of decisions within three months
10. Copyright and License
Authors retain copyright of their work.
All published articles are licensed under:

11. Revision Policy
Authors must respond to reviewer comments and submit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe. Revisions submitted after three months may be treated as new submissions.
